Destination is Ladakh. After coming down from train to Chandigarh through Delhi, bus Journey started from there. At first Manali. After spending two days in Manali, went out twoards Leh city. The distance from Manali to Leh is 474 Km. Large distance and the hieght also increases drastically. Hence, mental preparation is very necessary. Road condition is very bad, and there are chances of sudden landslide. And altitude related many Health issues- Escaping all we have to move forward. it very hard to see this kind of confluence of fear and beauty.

In this route, first is the Rotang Pass. Elevation approximately 13508 ft. We are generally accustomed to see the snow hidden Rotang but in this month of July Rotang is also snowless. Leaving Rotang the bus moved ahead. After crossing a few distance we reached Tandi. In this Tandi, Chandar meets with Vaga river. This confluenced flow is popularly known as Chandravaga or chenab. We have take fuel for rest of the journey. Because after this the petrol pump is 345 Km. far, in Karu.

Presently our destination is at a distance from there of 138 Km. In Jispa named Janapada.   We reached Jispa at proper time. Here arrangement has been done to spent the night in tent. In well furnished tent the night spent well. In waking at morning we sae many people are standing with the motorbike. People are preparing for going to trek. Nowadays this kind of adventure sports have became popular in this Manali-Leh nahtional highway. Not only from India many people also have reached here from foreign to take the pleasure of  motorbike ride here. In this flock there were two youth of Panagadh. We have a meet with them. After moving a little froward from Jispa to Darcha gradually the elevation starts increasing. The mountains which could be seen from the window pf the bus, those mountains does not have a single trace of green in it. This lacking of green has been fulfilled by color differentiation of the mountain. A mountain could have such many colures can not be believed without seeing in eyes.

The way has gone down the valley. After crossing Bharatpur we reached Sarchu. Elevation approximately 14200 ft. Through one side flows the Sarchu drain. Here also you have to spent the nightg in tent. What is cold you can only understand after reaching Sarchu.  Condition such that of freezing of hands and legs. Due to elevation and thin oxygen breathing problems are common here. Fort this many people takes medicine like the 'koka-30' or 'Diamox'. one of our co-traveler became seriously ill and we had to took him to the army hospital. After crossing this Sarchu drain we entered the state of Jammu and Kashmir. After crossing the Lachalung La mountainous route at the elvation of 16616 ft. we reached a place named Pang. From the window of the bus just keep a watch on both the sides of the road, keep on on seeing the mysterious colored mountains and you will not be tired.

After reaching little ahead of Pang, scrap started. At a time the ascending ended. After this we are moving through a stretched plain land. Its a memorable experience of that sandy terrain. After crossing this sandy terrain another recognizable experience. It just resembles the tropical fields of the fairy tales. The length of the field more than 25 km. This field stretch at the Rupsu valley is an geographical wonder. After crossing this we reached the highest point of Manali-Leh Highway, Talang La. This is at the elevation of 17469 ft. In every pass of Ladakh, you can spot flags of prayer fly in vigorously on the cold winds, as if praying unstoppably for someone. After this making friend the Indus river (locally called Sindhu) crossed a large No. of Ladakhi villages to reach the city Leh.

During "Guru Purnima" a gorgeous fair takes place here.Tourist from all over the world gathers here also to be a part of this festival. Once we have reached Ladakh is it possible that we will not visit the Ranger School? We have also went to the "Drook Whites Lok School" of the "Three Idiots". The decipline of this school is really great to see.

The next day on the dawn We went out towards the Pangong Lake. The distance of this lake from Leh is 150 km. We started to trek up trough the Mountainous roads. In this route will fall the third highest mountain road- Changla. Height 17350 ft. After covering a few more distance at the height of 18850 ft. lies Asia's largest Salt Water Lake Pangong. Of this 145 Km. long Lake just 45 Km. lies in India the Rest is of Tibet. The main attraction of this lake is the visualizing of different colors of mountain and the water. Near the bank the water is Green as emerald, the middle part absolutely blue and the Part towards the mountain is Brown. Above that the reflection of clouds. With the changing of the clouds and the the position of sun the color of the water changes. Looking towards it I want to love the world more and more....
